The TG Foundation's long-term goals are:
The TG Foundation currently provides grants to Gesom Hospital in Goma to sponsor traumatic fistula operations for victims of rape. Gesom is an NGO which was created in the province of North Kivu in Goma in 2002. One of the main objectives of Gesom is to provide treatments at reduced fees to the most vulnerable members of the North Kivu population. In 2004 Gesom took charge of acts of violence against women and girls and in particular victims of sexual violence and those displaced by war. The TG Foundation is managed by a group of UK-based trustees, volunteers and one member of staff. They are all committed to the vision of the TG Foundation, which is for the Democratic Republic of Congo to be a blueprint for the human rights of women and children in Africa, as rape and sexual violence are a violation of the human rights of women and children.
